Apparently my travel misfortunes are starting early this trip. I received an email from United about a month ago that said my flight had been changed to the 7th from the 6th. Not a big deal I thought since I have almost 3 months of travel time. What's one day off. Especially since I used my miles to get the ticket. So today I made sure I arrived to the airport 2 hours early like a good international traveler. As I look around my Luthfansa ticket counter for any sign of human life, I see none. I check the departure tv and see it all blank. Hhhhmmmm...That's funny I thought. So I go head down to the United counters and try their machines with my confirmation #. No record found says the machine. So I ask WTF to the nearest lady in my trying not to be be pissed off face. She says that the flight left yesterday and I was supposed to be on it. Long story short she got me a flight to Amsterdam but I just have to spend an extra day traveling through airports and what not.
And I checked that email again and it DID say that I was supposed to leave today. United screwed me with that email. Too late now...
