The Aquarium miraculously offered a free college night – the discount for college students brings the price down from $28.95 to $20.95, not a worthwhile difference. Free, however, is a totally different story.

A large group of us enjoyed the walk over, not worrying too much about our timing but running into a huge line once there.  It looked like around a million other Boston-ish area students had also had the same idea.  We finally got in, and were offered an IMAX movie.  Free IMAX?!?  I was amazed: a rare treat, and the movie title didn't look too bad (Born To Be Wild).  It gave us about an hour-and-a-half to wander around.  The place was incredibly crowded, but we did our best and managed to see nearly all of the exhibits.  I particularly liked the penguins, this fat frog, the jellyfish, a school of silverfish that all swam in a circle, the octopus, the fish whose eyes stuck above the water, the spotted flounders, and the giant tank.  But it was also very sad to see them; my ability to simply go to zoos and aquariums is becoming more difficult as my conscience catches up with me.

The movie was wonderful.  Morgan Freeman (but really God) narrated the two stories about the people who rescue, care for, and raise for orphan elephants and orangutans, then provide them with the skills to become full members of their natural habitats.

We had considered going back to the aquarium, but most of the free things were gone (I had got Ben&Jerry’s sunglasses and coupons on the way out to the movie) and we were tired.  Our one stop on the way back was when Laura decided to run through a fountain.  Free things are the best xD
