On New Years Day we visiting the local zoo. The central zone was open air (no cages) so the birds could fly around freely, it had a manmade waterfall which all fell into the base which was a massive expanse of water for the several dugongs they had in the exhibit.

For NYE we went to a Medieval Times Dinner and Show (not my choice, im really not into it). Surprisingly I had fun though then we went home and had an early night.

The following night however we went to a nearby carpark on the side of a lake and let off hundreds of fireworks that Ian and Pete had bought earlier that week. Fireworks are legal in Texas unlike back home in Aus, so we went a little wild with them.
