One of our dearest friends Cleeka is celebrating her 30th today....Happy 30th Cleeka! Hope you have an awesome day darling!  We must catch up for birthday drinks when we get back!  Dirty Thirty!!

Today we headed into the city to grab some more phone credit and a nice hot coffee at Starbucks.  We then went straight back into Oktoberfest.  It wasn't as busy as yesterday but the day was still young.

We went on the big ferris wheel first of all and got some pretty amazing views and then straight into a beer tent.  It was such a gorgeous day we sat outside in the beer garden of the 'Schützen Festzelt’ and had a few beers.

From there we went to the HB tent and spent the rest of the day there and things got pretty crazy.  Apparently this is the tent where most of the Aussies go, they call this the pigs pen as it gets fairly messy!  Aussies are well known in Germany, especially during the Oktoberfest. So many Aussies loose their passport during the Oktoberfest that the Australian Government sets up a table at the Consulate Officers in Munich for re-issuing passports.  Normally you would have to travel to the Embassy in Berlin for this.  Now that is a pretty sweet set up!

Like every tent, the HB had their band that plays some awesome music that gets the crowds involved, people walking selling pretzels, t-shirts and hats and a chick walking around doing brethos for fun...some guy blew 2.03 (is this even possible?!).  You have people standing on top of the tables challenging the next person to a one litre beer sculling competition, people dancing on top of the tables and knickers, jocks and bras being thrown up onto the statue hanging from the roof.  We met some great people from Perth and a couple from Canada who are travelling the world for a year.  By about 7pm, Trav wasn’t feeling the best so we stumbled out of the HB tent to try and make our way back to Helios....thank goodness it was only a 5min walk to the train and a 5min train ride!  On our way back to the train, we met 2 guys that remembered me photo bombing them the day before...what are the chances hey!  We also stopped to help a couple of Aussies who were struggling lifting their drunken mate from the middle of the road. This drunk guy was foaming at the mouth.   I offered my bottle of water in which he tipped over his face.  It didn’t help that much, so his mate punched him straight in the stomach.  This didn’t help much either, so his mate cracked him one in the jaw.  Yep...what a true blue Aussie ya do!

We got to Helios and Trav bombed out on the bed and then threw up and then went back to bed.  Poor little was a big day of excitement for him!  The campsite partied to wee hours of the morning and you could hear some Aussies yell "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie’ and from the other end of the campsite came ‘Oi Oi Oi.’
