I just want to wish my gorgeous mum a very happy birthday! Love ya mum and hope you have a lovely day! I know it wont be that lovely because I'm not there....but try ya best to make the most of it!  Love ya heaps.

Today I started the day singing happy birthday to my mum on Skype!  Trav told me afterwards how loud I sang and how everyone else in the campsite probably heard me but I didn't care!  We woke up and were meant to head into the city but went back to bed after brekky. Ahhhh lazy days....I love them.  We eventually made it into the city around 12:30ish.  First stop was Leidesplein.... this is where a lot of buskers are meant to hang out but not one to be seen....they were either stoned in a coffeeshop or the weather was too windy for them.  We grabbed a snack at a bagel place.  I am loving Bagels with philly spread.  They are just sooo yum.  I got one with an onion and chive philly spread....oooooo sooooo good.

We then went to the 'Gassan’ Diamond Factory and had a free tour (Diamonds are forever...Diamonds are a girls best friend..).  So many gorgeous diamonds.  One worth €85,000!  Times that by 1.5 and that gives you $127,000 AUD. That is a fricken lot!  But it was so gorgeous and if Trav bought it for me, he would’ve been able to get 15% off being the tax.  But nope...he didn’t buy it for me (bastard!).  This particular Diamond is known as the Gassen 121.  This breathtaking diamond cut constitutes 121 facets, which result in optimal reflective properties.  It takes 4 days to polish.  The polishers work on the symmetry of the diamonds and the immaculate finish of each of the fifty-seven facets with only one goal in mind: perfect beauty.  We also saw a yellow diamond which is 2.7 carats from Australia

After the diamond factory we went for a stroll around the flea markets and then made our way to the Icebar.  Minus 10 degrees and the XtraCold Ice Bar is made of ice (obviously). The walls, bar, stools and even glasses. The Ice Bar is completely redecorated every year. The theme switches twice a year. 30 tons of ice have to make place for 30 tons of new ice sculptures.  We were able to enjoy a very cold beer and cocktail and watch a 4D movie.  They gave us big jackets with hoods and gloves to wear.  You are only allowed to stay in the icebar for 30minutes but who the hec would want to stay in there longer!  I had a total of 6 layers top half was warm but my butt was the coldest!  It was a great experience.  We weren’t allowed to take pics but they took pics of us which we got a copy printed.

We made our way back to the campsite by 9pm and had a night in chillaxing ...didnt get to bed till 1am.  It was a good night, that is all I will say ;o)
