Today was a full on day... all day at 'Miniatur Wunderland' – the longest model railway in the world... not just Europe but the World!  Trav was so excited.  Waking me up early, rushing me to eat breakfast, rushing me walking to the train station.  It only took about 15 minutes to get into the city so we got to Miniatur Wunderland by 10:30am.  This place was huge and packed! So much detail, so many scenes of Germany and different areas of Europe, so many man hours and money gone into this place...this place was a MONSTROSOMY! Our photos don’t do this place justice. Check out their website for a better idea www.miniatur-wunderland.de

We had a ‘behind the scenes’ tour.  We were the only ones in our tour group.  The German guy was such a dork.  You could tell that he took his work very seriously as he didn’t know a joke if it smacked him in the face. But it was an interesting tour and he pointed out all the ‘hardcore’ scenes (Hardcore was his choice of words too).

We spent about 6 hours at Miniatur Wunderland.  From there we grabbed a drink at Starbucks and looked around Hamburg city.  Went to the top of ‘St. Michaelis’ for a view of Hamburg and then went to Ratplatz Square.  They had a night time fair/market thing on with soooo much food and live entertainment.  Awesome atmosphere so we had another German beer, Trav ate yet another Berliner and we soaked it all up.
