Our first day in Vienna and we felt a bit lost today – didn't know where to start. We tried calling a place that offers Segway Tours but they were booked out for 2 days straight.  So we went by foot exploring the streets of Vienna.  We went to the Schatzkammer (Imperial Treasury) to have a look at all the greatest treasury in the world – crown jewels, imperial riches, emeralds, diamonds, rubies – all the bling bling wada wada ding dong stuff which dates back from 962.  How do they know this stuff is that old!  Anyway, I picked our a few things that I wanted and told Trav.  He didn’t but any of it for me.  We went down the main street of Vienna 'Kӓrntnerstrasse’ – there were so many people being statues/busking for money!  Every few steps they were there...some a lot better and more creative than others.   This one guy tried to look like a chimney sweeper and had just put some black paint on his face.  There was a couple dressed all in silver that were quiet good (see pic).  They stood so still with their eyes closed I actually thought they were real life statues.  If you dropped a coin in the ladies tin, she would do a gesture in thanks and if you put a coin in the guys tin he would bow.  I wanted to see what they would do if I dropped a coin in each of their tins at the same time.  Loved it!  They both did their little thing at the exact time!  I could’ve spent hours there just dropping pennies into their tin!  Trav felt sorry for this statue lady in blue.  She wasn’t that great but Trav made me put money in her tin.  We then went to ‘the Imperial Crypt’.  *kel sighs and shots herself in the head*.... more coffins, more dead people.  I don’t understand why anyone would pay money to see these sorts of places!  The coffins are totally huge and eccentric with statues, skulls and angels oozing from them, they would weigh tons and yes, the coffins are different to what we see back at home.  But it’s just a dead person inside!  Ok... sure this dead person inside might’ve been famous back in their days but I can walk through the whole place within 5 minutes...Trav well he likes to stop at every single one and take pictures from about 30 different angles just of the one coffin.  God bless him.  But it wasn’t that bad though.  We strolled a bit more through the streets of Vienna.  More people busking ...bands playing music, guys showing off their soccer skills....Vienna the city of buskers!  We ended up at a big square with lawns, buildings, and people just veggin’ on the lawns so this is where we sat and I fell asleep.  I was woken to Trav trying to shove grass up my nose.  We made our way back to the campsite and relaxed and had a few drinks.
