Back curled and crumpled after four nights on the train. Legs tingling and numb with lack of use. So pleased to be out in the countryside after pounding round the cities and then being cramped on the train for five days.
The tree-lined valleys are in spectacular colour - the perfect time to see them - the sparkling yellows of the birch contrasting with the dark green pines.
And then there`s the lake. Difficult to comprehend that such a vast body of water is not a sea - we`re all constantly refering to it as such.
