Just returned from an amazing adventure in the Southern Sahara in Algeria...4-wheel driving through the desert, camping in dunes and in the varied desert landscape for the last 6 or so days. No facilities so we were getting up close and personal with the landscape features if you get my drift. Arrived in Tamanrasset, collapsed then took an extended shower to get the desert grime off of me...while trying to conserve water! Ended the evening dancing to live Arabic music with our great Tuareg guides who had been taking care of us for the last week in the desert...a little belly dancing and general mayhem to end our time with them...hard to say goodbye...
