My friend Michelle and I took a great walk today.  I got it out of this book I just bought called:  Stairway Walks in San Francisco.  No matter how long you have lived somewhere it seems that there is always something new to explore.  We walked around North Beach and Telegraph Hill including Coit Tower...up and down hidden stairways, up and down hills and in and out of alleyways....views of the bay, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge, Transamerica building visible along the different areas of the walk.  It has been clear and sunny for a few weeks in the city but soooo cold.  Today it was clear as well as warm and the streets and the parks were filled with people. 
Was in the middle of reading Gandhi, Experiments with Truth when I lost it....so disappointing.  So now, while I wait for my new copy to arrive from Amazon, I've started reading a book my boss recommended called: The No. 1 ladies' Detective Agency.  It's set in Africa and great reading.  Africa is on my list for my next round of travels to start in July of this year so I'm starting to do some research on where I want to go and what I want to see...
