Honoi is not an easy town to navigate around, it is extremely busy and the same street can change names 3 or 4 times. It is because of this that Mr Tee decided the first thing we needed to do was an orientation walk. We walked through the old quarter, found the market, he pointed out the Guinness book of records wall that must not be crossed (It is not safe the other side of the wall), he showed us the backpacker quarter and we walked down to the lake where he pointed out the water puppet theatre and the post office. He also gave us each our very own complicated map ;-]. (Goodness me I prefer navigating in the middle of nowhere to in a city.)

Mr Tee left us by the lake and all of us but Mazza decided to try out the water puppet show. The show was the ultimate of cheese lol. I think the show is very culturally appropriate though. It is basically a puppet show as it would be anywhere in the world but they have put it in water. Considering how much time that a lot of Vietnam is flooded I think it is fitting. We were the youngest people there, I think they were having an OAP special lol. The guy in front of me must have been about 60 and thought it appropriate to have a huge video camera and a large Camera that meant I couldn't see a lot but after my rather laud comments his Mrs told him to put them away lol. I don’t see the point in sitting somewhere quietly stewing, if you have a problem then you should voice it (Does that make me rude? I hope not)

In the evening we met up for dinner it was hilarious, Mr Tee had just finished some sort of Buddhist lent where he couldn’t drink and had been out with friends to celebrate, he was hammered. We had dinner and then went to the "Hair of the dog" bar but it was dead. Then we went to a street bar recommended by Mr Tee. The street bar was an experience in its self. I have never laughed so much in my life. You actually sat in the road (and it wasn’t a very wide road, I thought my toes were in definite danger of being squished) and on a cross road. Mr Tee took some photos of us sitting at this bar but in order to do that he had to stand in the middle of the crossroads. The cars and motorbikes struggled a bit but managed to use him as a roundabout, hilarious. We each got some beers but to be fair although I have never drunk horse piss I imagine these beers are what horse piss would taste like (15p a pint though, couldn’t complain). Therefore we nicknamed this location horse piss roundabout lol. It was surprising how it helped with navigation. From horse piss roundabout we went to the “Bucket bar”. The bucket bar was full of backpackers. I got a bucket of Vodka redbull again they seem to be a little afraid of the redbull they didn’t put much in. We danced and had a laugh.

It seems at midnight the bars are supposed to close, they don’t. We were dancing when the police raided the bar. We got split up as Mr Tee, Gemma and Jenny were chucked out and Vince, Mazza and I were told by the bar man to go upstairs as the police don’t usually check upstairs. We played pool for a long time upstairs and then they got raided again at about 2am. We left on the second raid and went back to the Hair of the dog bar and had a lock in there. We were the only ones in there and got to be our own DJ’s. (I don’t think Mazza or Vince appreciated my taste in music lol Eminem, top gun theme tunes, James blunt etc.)

None of us were up to much the next day. Gemma phoned through to our room and gave us the gossip of what had happened to them after they were chucked out the night before. Unfortunately Mr Tee’s pride and joy his phone was stolen by pick pockets. When Jenny and Gemma had got back to the hotel they decided to try and come and find us but got lost. They ended up the other side of the wall but met a friendly guy that looked after them and took them back to the hotel when the club closed. What an eventful night it was great.

ASIA I LOVE YOU AND I AM VERY SORRY TO HAVE TO LEAVE.
