I had a long weekend as i took a couple extra days off work....as my very special Roaddog was in town. One of my very dearest friends, Lucy aka roaddog, came up to me visit from Tasmania. It had been three years since i last saw her, when we were both living in England (she's English and married a Tassie). We met a couple years before that, randomly in Florida when we were both traveling. We got along like a house on fire and traveled together for 2 or so months...one month of that in San Francisco doing absolutely nothing, just taking in the fab city and loving every minute of. The other month, we hired a car and did a 4 week roadtrip (hence the name roaddogs) of Cali and the southern states which was one of the best times of my life. Then we both went to the UK, lucy back home and i was just beginning my stint there, in Scotland at that point.

Anyways point being...it was fabulous to spend some much needed time with my RD again and catch up. We stayed at Jingo's & Lorna's for the whole weekend as it feels like home and way more comfortable and with grand company of course too...so the four of us and Rick had a bbq the first night as Lucy's welcome which involved lots of beer and wine and chit chat. Then the next day we were up at the crack basically thanks to the lovely birds singing specifically crows. Jingo and I convinced Lucy and Lorna (who were slightly croggy and hungover) to get into the car (where they could have a nanna nap) and we would go to Noosa for the day for some beacbumming (which lucy can't get in tassie) and surfing again! haha...yeehaw! So we had a lovely day at the beach, surfing, swimming, strolling, eating, drinking. It's a difficult life!

The next day, Sunday was a wonderful day in itself. We didn't leave the house, with the exception of Roaddog walking down to the shop, a couple of times, for more champagne. I cooked a proper Canadian breakfast which consisted of pancakes, maple syrup and bacon. Lucy's contribution was champange and orange juice (gotta love the british for their way of thinking). We ate our champagne breakfast out on the front porch and perched there for the entire day...it was lovely. We had bit of a girly day as Lucy straightened my hair then i straightened Jingo's afro while embarking on some good 'ol chick chat. The 2 very neighbourly guys next door, came over in the afternoon as we continued to sit and sip...til the late hours of the evening. It was an absolutely gorgeous day..so simple and so enjoyable, should do it more often really.

The next day...Roaddog and I hired a car and were off on a very mini-roadtrip....
