Its so cliche but time does just fly by as we (or i) get submersed into the everyday happenings of life, and work, etc..doesn't mean that everyday presents anything spectacular or out of the ordinary either. Actually most days are quite routine and very similar which i tend to struggle with as i like new things to keep me entertained and to challenge me...so i'm adapting to keeping things low key..

An average day for me now, starts at the crack of dawn as i have to be at work for 630am which was absolutely bizarre to me at first, i have never worked straight days in my life, let alone 630 (back in the day in manchester, getting to work for 10 was a struggle) but i'm getting accustomed to it, so much so that i'm truly struggling with sleeping in at all on my days off (maybe i'm growing up after all a wee bit now). And then i'm done work at 4 and usually end up at the 'family funhouse'..cook dinner, chill, chat, play on the net..it's just nice to have company, rather than at my house. I'm very fortunate to have them here...otherwise it would be a very boring and lonely time right now...it's funny how things work oot!!

Anywho...now to my one day out. I ventured out to Moreton Island the other week on a one day tour. It's a wee island that is literally all sand. There are no proper roads, just sand roads so you have to have a 4x4 to go there and a permit, hence why i took a tour. It's a half hour drive to the port then a one and a half hour ferry ride to the island. There are 3 very small towns but we didn't see them, takes aboot 3-4 hrs to drive aorund the island i think. There are huge sand dunes so the first stop for us was to go sandsledding..i have to say it was much better than my sandsledding experience in Vietnam (just bigger dunes). Then we drove aboot the island, went to an old lighthouse and a viewpoint, had a picnic lunch on the beach, went for a quick dip as the water is still quite chilly..and just enjoyed the gorgeous scernery of white sand, blue water and nothing much else really. It was a beautiful day too...

So that is that...a few weeks have passed and that is all i have to report really...oh the excitement of being back to reality..haha. Don't get me wrong, i am definitely enjoying still, there is always the simple things in life to focus on...
