Yello...well another week has been and gone, of work and play, sun and some rain actually. I have quit one of my jobs. There was no sense having two jobs and working almost everyday and juggling shifts when i could get fulltime hours at one job. So the job down the street from me had to go unfortunately...they weren't willing to pay as much as my other job and it was doing my head in with disorganization and what not, so no thank you! It will be good for me to venture out of my wee neighbourhood more often and to get the exercise everyday of riding my bike.

Last week, Jingo and I planned a 'homes' day out. Our main mission was to go to the museum to see the Picasso exhibit and go from there. We walked from the house down to the river to catch the 'citycat', public boat transportation...had never taken it before, it's not the closest or most convenient option as you have to walk along the river quite a bit to get it but it was lovely for that day. Before we got on the boat, we rewarded ourselves after the long walk with a pitcher of beer at the nearby bar. Then grabbed the boat to 'Southbank', a nice area along the river with a park and cafes and a fake beach...had a beer. And the museum was a short walk away...the Picasso exhibit was cool but don't know if it was $20 cool as that was the cost. It was a display of his personal art collection, and some of his work...so it was interesting to see what he had collected over his lifetime. Then we walked across a bridge to the city centre where we ended up in this Belgian Bar with all sorts of different beer. We quenched our thirsts with a few Hoegardens and sat in the beer garden. And then before we knew it, the day was gone, and it was time to head home as we both had to work early in the morning. It really was a lovely day out...nice to get oot and aboot in the city and have a few beverages, see what's happening. Hadn't really done that yet, in the actual city...just grand!

Yesterday was Father's Day here...so i cooked a mofo roast dinner for the family funhouse to thank them for everything, putting up with me, having me around the house all the time, etc. I have to say so myself, it was mmmmmmm mmmmmmm good, it's been a longg time since i had a proper roast beef dinner. Did some baking as well, as we (the girls) surprised Rick with a happy daddy's day cake and gifts (no he's not a dad but thought we would make him feel special anyways for putting up with all the estrogen in the house). So it was a lovely day of floating and mooching around the house (meaning their house of course, it's just way more homey), just one of those Sundays eh!
