Well i'm not doing so well already with keeping you informed of all the hoop-la and excitement of my everyday life. And there has been some hoop-la to report...

First of all, I finally 'moved' into my new 'home'...which involved all of packing up my backpack, walking down the mofo hill of a street about 200m and dumping my backpack in my new found home. This area of Brisbane is veryy hilly, similar to San Fran (just cuz of the hills), it's up, down and around..and it's about a 40min walk to the city centre. Moving in and unpacking took aboot a half hour and i was 'settled' in. It's nice to have an acutal bedroom to call my own...i have places to put things, like shelves, not that i have a lot things which becomes even clearer when i have a whole bedroom to place things but it's defo nice. It's been a longgg time since i had a bedroom so i'm definitely appreciating the little things. My new place isn't exactly feeling like home yet as it's always strange going to a new house with new people but give it time. So my 2nd night after 'moving' out of Rick's and co. i find myself here, at rick's visiting...haha.

I'm working 2 jobs, 7 days a week for the time being (figure after 8 months of not working i owe it to myself) and see how it goes..both are at restaurants/cafes, waiting on...and one is right down the street from my house..haha. The other i have the pleasure of riding my new found bicycle (rick's old one) to get there..up and down and around the hills.

Saturday night we threw a had a good 'ol north american ho-down..we being me and jingo, the american, we get along fabulously just laugh our asses off and we are both half redneck so naturally a shin-dig was in order. So we introduced rick and lorna and some of their other friends to some of the greats - beer, country music, toe-tapping, ribs, beans, bbq, beer, slaw, kneeslapping, etc. And then sunday the four of us took a drivet to the coast, about half hour away, for a wee walk along the pier and a sit=-own in the park with some fish and chips...lovely. It's quite chilly here still..well for me anyways but considering it's the winter, it is lovely..aboot 20 degrees but well chilly at night. It was a nice day..lovely to get out somewhere.

Alrighty roo...that's me for now..play safe!
