After a 5 hr bus ride, i made it to Kuala Lumpur...and I was feeling a bit down as i had just left my peeps on the island. But by simply choosing the hostel with the description "the cosiest common room in town" in my guidebook, i found a very comfortable hostel and felt at ease and relaxed right away which was nice. So my spirit was lifted just enough. I did have the misfortune though of waking up covered with bites. I assumed mosquitos had just voilated me once again but no this time it was bed bugs as i had several lines of bites all over....so not enjoyable and i continue to itch and scratch. It happens though...and could've been worst..could've been sick or something for my flight so i can handle this...all aboot self-control of scratching eh...haha.

My main mission here was to buy a new camera as i didn't have the time to get my old one repaired and this was good of place as any to buy a camera...as you can bargain with the price and it's cheap. So that was successful..as i found a mall purely dedicated to IT and electronics so i literally went from shop to shop asking for my camera (newer model) and waiting for the best deal..i ended getting it for aboot half the price as home probably.

After that, i walked around a bit..took a few pictures and saw the famous Petrona towers, that's it really. I only had a day and a half in KL as i was awaiting a flight to take me way east. I almost had another newfie moment as i was sooo close to going to the airport a day early as i wrote the wrong date in my calendar but luckily for me i checked the receipt..phew! i would not have been happy especially with having to leave at 4am!

So this is where my overland trip, sort of speak, ends...i wanted to make it all the way to Aus without flying but too much water lies my way, particularly with the direction im headed now and no passenger ferries...so flying it is.
