After exiting I25 and filling up at Truth or Consequences, we took a backroad towards our destination. Wow, this road is treacherous - very winding roads with cliffs off the edges and almost no guard rails. On top of that the rabbits carried a suicidal streak, the most reassuring and worrying part is when Tracy informed me: "I will hit a rabbit before plummeting over the edge".

We made it into the KOA kind of late and set up a fire. After some wine and a cigar we packed it in. Tracy went ahead and got a KOA card as Michael had suggested and saved around 10% of what the card cost. It will serve us well the rest of the trip.

We ate a wonderful breakfast of green chilis, hash browns, onions, bacon, and eggs on top with flour tortillas to scoop it up. The Southwest scramble at Adobe Springs cafe is recommended. We are gonna try and make it back there tomorrow afternoon : )
