Last night we had a warm welcome in Lafayette, GA from John's godmother, Karen, as well as Donna & Linda who arrived Saturday. John had a great time catching up and I enjoyed meeting Karen and her husband Terry. They have 28 acres and own/breed cows. For dinner we had some amazing Angus steak then just sat around and talked for a while.

This morning we got up, had breakfast and somehow ended up talking about everything from plastic surgery to family resemblences which led into looking through some pictures. For the first time we shared some of our wedding pictures and relived the day. I now understand why videos are great since the wedding seemed like a blur.

We later toured the farm, the bull took an interest in Donna and one of the cows seemed to want to chase us off. Karen asserted her dominance by yelling at the cow and scaring it off. There were several adorable calves around as well. At one point we crossed a small stream which John was nice enough to help everyone over. Afterwards we crossed a cow patty laden field which somehow began a conversation about poop. Rowan. (and 7 year old boys everywhere) would have been so proud of me!

On our way out Karen gave us directions to Cloudland state park which was a beautiful overlook.
On to Patty & Kenny's!
