and google maps we found Leah's apartment in no time. She had very recently
purchased a new futon and she had it decked out with all kinds of awesome
goodies for us! Tracy got a book about the poem Howl and a copy of On The
Road by Jack Kerouac was waiting for me. They sat among a literary map of
San Fran and an assortment of towels and blankets. A wonderful surprise!
One of the greatest joys of the trip has been getting to visit family and
act as an intermediary of good tidings between them. Shane and Crissy gave
a bunch of photos to share with Leah and she loved getting those. It warms
the heart! Leah still has a lot of my grandmother's possessions and in use
as well! The wall clock and dishes brought back fond memories. We stayed up
another couple of hours visiting with Leah and planning the next events.
