Right now we are about to head through Texarcana. Is it Texas? Is it Arkansas? Luckily I have lots of time to ponder this.
After a nice run on a long flat road in the middle of nowhere (I will never complain about Louisville humidity again), John and I stopped in Little Rock at a great restaurant called The House. We especially loved the hearts of palm and spinach dip. The area had an almost Frankfort Avenue/college town feel and the people were friendly.
Our server has an interesting family background and was someone I could imagine just hanging out with too. Her dad is Columbian and her mom went to med school there. With family in Columbia and Spain she has done extensive traveling. People are the best part of these kind of trips.

This is awesome! On the back deck grillin' & loving the blog. Cats are fine... They like to poop, don't they?
Love the road food! I love finding odd places!
