Hey guys!
I just arrived back in Wellington. Last morngin I started in christchurch with a aweful bus ride to picton just to catch the roughiest ferry trip I have ever been on! Really, it was great! The Sundeck (deck 9) was closed after a American got hit by such a massiv seaspray (from the waves hitting the boat) that he was weat all the way through to hsi undies. Not really funny for him but for the rest of us sitting comfortable on deck 8. Eventhough this ship is pretty big (over 100m long and several meters high) and we were sitting on the highest deck wich is covered, we couldn't really see much becasue everytime (wich was really often) we got hit by a wave the seaspry just simply whitend our windows for a couple of seconds. The only entertaiment i got was a nice guy from auckland vomiting aproximatly 10l per minute. It was just great. And it got better! The ship had to make a turn to avoid even rougher sea and the entrance of wellington, wich left us in the awesome situation of waves from left-behind. there wasn't any seaspray anymore jsut gently movemnet off the ship. the only problem was that everytime a wave hit from the back the ship was kind fo surfing on it at leaned a lot. wich had the result that all the coke fridges popped open, letting loose a billion coke bottles , most of the plates in the food court broke and a few people fell including my neighbour who fell of his seat. Jsut great. Anyway the story is Interislander ferry apologized and canceld all the other sailings for that day and all of the sailings today as well.
So i have to get ready now because I am facing a 12 hour trip to auckland starting at 6pm tonight arriving at 6 am tomorw morning. in a fully booked coach. Lovely.
