Oh my goodness! Tomorrow is my last day of class, and then my mom and my grandmother are coming to meet my host family. And then Saturday, we will leave. I can't believe that I have been here for 4 weeks (or really 3 1/2). Every 2 days have felt like 1, and I can't believe it's almost over. I wish I could stay for the rest of the summer! My host family is awesome, and I look forward to going to school every day! We laugh so much in my class; I'm really going to miss it. I also really like that I ride my bike to school every day. I ride or walk everywhere, so now I know Tours at least as well as I know Charleston. I actually know street names here (because I had to find them on a map), and I can get to both movie theaters, the train station, all of the stores, and everywhere else I need to go. This past Sunday, there was an "antique" car and motorcycle festival at the end of Rue Nationale, near the movie theater. There were people everywhere, braving the heat to come see these relics, which were eventually (right after my movie finished) driven around a sort of race course, that everyone might marvel at these ancient creations. Then yesterday, the 5-week, government-mandated sale began. Everything everywhere is marked down 30-60%! I think we need to bring this idea back to the U.S. I hope everyone who's back is doing well and not dying of heat stroke; although it's pretty hot here to, and there's no air conditioning. I'm so excited to see everyone (when I get back from France and Kanuga). See you in a few weeks!
