Who knew I'd enjoy Montgomery, AL as much as I did...

It all began when we pulled into our hotel. I've come to expect a very standard room by now, but when we got to our floor and opened the door, I was pleasantly greeted by a really nice room. They had recently renovated the hotel, and clearly hired some sort of Feng Shui decorator. I loved it. Everything was crisp and clean, but with warm touches. New lamps of different shapes and design, fluffy new towels, and a beautiful window shade that looked like art.

When we arrived at the venue, we were greeted by the most fun crew we've had yet. These guys have worked our show several times, and were familiar with the whole deal. So, when the van arrived late due to a flat tire, they had already unloaded the truck and were half way set up. They were so much fun. After the show, we went to lunch with the crew at the wonderful hometown restaurant next door called Lunde's. They stayed open past their normal lunch hours just for us. I had a fried catfish po'boy, and was full for the rest of the day. The guys then invited us to their house this Saturday on our drive up to Decatur, AL from New Orleans. We'll see if we make it, but I bet it would be fun if we do.
