Well the Israel trip has finally come to an end. I have to say that I was very sad to leave that awesome place but I am also glad to finally have a room to myself (I was sharing a room with 3 kids for 10 days straight!). I will definitely miss Israel and hope that I'll get a chance to return someday. There is so much in that country that a person could spend months there and never see everything. Traveling with kids made it hard to see everything I would have liked to see but it was still heaven and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to take a vacation. I do have some words of wisdom for anyone who does decide to travel that direction though. First of all, it is easy to enter the country but it isn't as easy to leave. If you aren't an Israeli citizen, be prepared to go through a short interview and some extra security. Also, if you want to go to any other countries in the middle East (except Egypt) do NOT get an Israel stamp on your passport for entry or exit or you will have to get a new passport (not that you would want to go to any other countries in that region anyway). Any female tourist should also know that the men in Israel are harmless but very upfront. I got hit on an average of 5 times a day so be prepared for that (it was quite the ego boost though). I also came back with several new Hebrew words that might be useful. These aren't spelled correctly because the Hebrew alphabet is not the same as the English one but the pronunciation should be close. Beyond that, everyone speaks English so it's easy to get around :)
Ken = Yes
No = No
Abba = Dad
Ema = Mom
Mah = What?
Slicha = Excuse me
Todah = Thank You
Nudenick = Freak or dork
Jecket = Quiet
Hootsbah = Someone with a real nerve
Chamud = Cutie (watch out for that one, some of the men are real hootsbahs)
Kippa = The hats that Jewish men wear.
