Decided to be productive today and actually do some sightseeing. Went to yet another temple (white buddha), as per got hassle to buy postcards off a girl who pulled the same old usual story! its so annoying because they lie and then get really annoyed if you don't buy stuff off them - oh well!
A guy who is training to be a monk took us on a tour of the place and told us lots of interesting things about the temple and himself too. He was raised by monks because he was an orphan and he really wants to be a tour guide (popular choice of career apparently)?!!
Next we went to this far out point which had big rocks that resembled animals (i personally couldn't see the likeness) and there was also a giant handprint in the rocks. It really annoyed me though because people have graffittied all over it!
Then we headed to the hot springs - one of the best ideas of the trip so far! It was so relaxing and the same price as the stupid postcards (100,000 dong). BTW in vietnam you are a millionaire because 1 pound is equivelant to 30,000 dong (or there abouts)! We went for a hot mud bath, then into hot springs water and then played in a cold pool for a while.
Back to guesthouse to see anna (the lady who runs our guesthouse). She is so lovely and she told us how she collects money from the countries she has travelled too, so we gave her some thai, khmer and british money which made her super happy! She used to work for a commercial bank, took some time off to go travelling and then decided she's like to welcome other people to vietnam the way she was welcomed to other countries! pretty cool.
Got the overnight bus to Ho Chi Ming city, although i did hurl abuse at the guy in front of me for reclining his seat and alsmost breaking my knee in the process! ooops! lack of sleep made me quite grumpy.
