With a few days to kill I remembered that part of Santa Barbara is
known as the Riviera, and then a light bulb lit in my head and I
realized that its namesake is because of the French Riviera. And not
only that but the French Riviera has WAY more money wallow in. So, at
the last minute I found a cheep hostel in Nice, the perfect staging
ground for a full frontal attack on some of the Meds nicest homes and
ships. ARRRRR time for the pirate to attack!

I arrived rather late at night, and discovered that I would be a
stowaway in an abandoned Convent for the duration of my attack.
Perfect I thought They will never think to look for me here. Not only
was this place an abandoned convent but the galley wenches served grog
and beer from Gods room, the old church.

The first day was only a scouting mission, find the lay of the land
and discover where I would be able to commandeer the greatest amount of
treasure and possibly the best place to hide it.... ARRRR

before the day was through i realized my two planned days there would
not be enough. surely i would need more time to branch out from my
base and observe the ways these locals move. find out when they are at
their weakest and most prone for an attack.

Nice itself had a few seaworthy ships in its harbor, some I would
gladly pass on to a young lad not yet at my stature of general, but
not quite a vessel that tickled my fancy. so I left these lowly
vessels for a weaker man then myself, knowing that one day other
pirates would follow my cunning whits and try and sack this city. I
spent the second half of my scouting day measuring up the perimeter
defenses on their mansions and potential exit points from the coast.
there were plenty of small deep bays perfect of abandoning booty if
needed for a later return to pick up with my Remote Dive vehical (last
I heard the Russians still think the Brits stole it.... SUCKERS!)

next I took time to admire the vessels of ports around Nice, some were insignificant and therefor I don't remember their names for they were not worthy of my pirating ability. Others such as Canes had a great deal of vessels worth commandeering even if only for a wee bit of time.

so after spending a night accessing the nightworthyness of Nice I decided that I would commandeer several vehicles, making a daisy chain of ships, and several million euro worth of rubys diamonds and precious metals. the small goods were all buried at sea with a flag atop to make sure everyone knew it was mine. (I took a page from the Russians here, since they can claim the north pole by planting a flag at the bottom of the sea floor there I can use one of their submarines to place a Toonk pirate flag upon the top of my booty and it would clearly be mine no mater what legal cases people try to bring upon me.

by the end of the trip those at the convent realized my superior Pirating abilities, and even though they attempted to cram me in a room with 10 other scalawags. all could not bear to be lessor pirates then I. and I was left to my own devices in the massive wing of the place.

Nice was a worthy stop over for a pirate of my age and ability. but now I must be on, for I hear their is a certain tower in a small village in Italy called Pisa. I think that if I capture a picture of it going down, I shall make millions. Legally none the less.......
