to begin I would like to pose this question. does embarking on a tour in a minibus by myself, make me prematurely old? I hope not, but i have this funny feeling that it may.
Last night I dined on fine French Cuisene, and attempted to follow anywhere from 2-4 french conversations going on at any given time. contrary to popular belief, not that easy afterall.
dinner consisted of four courses, and began with salad. but this wasnt any normal salad, it was accompanied with some sord of warm wallnut, duck liver, and pork meat stuff on top. and despite reservations I have about eating liver, let alone that of a duck, it was really good. then for the main course we had potatos au gratin, with French Roast Beef, rare as could bem i think it was baked for maybe 30 min. with three diffrent sauses, a cheese sause, a red wine sause and a mustard sause. then came cheese. we had two diffrent goat cheeses, a soft cheese simmiler in looks to brie but much stronger flavor. and then some other kind i dont remember. after a bit of cheese was desert, a pear turnover type thing with ice cream. yum yum yum yum yum. the whole process took about three hours. and was quite fun.
i just wanted to share that with you all so you could envy in my gastronomic delights.
