Day 79 - Having all arrived back at the hostel at different times during the early hours, after failing to negotiate the gate mechanism on the door of the hostel...i.e trying to push the door instead of pulling...those damn jaegarbombs have a lot to answer for.  We all woke up with a little bit of a headache and were extremely tired.   We pottered about Alice Springs, mixing it up with the abo's and headed to the airport 3 hours before our flight.   After this endurance test we arrived back in Cairns late afternoon away from the damn flies, but back with the terrential rain!.  Checked back into Gilligans and went to meet up with James and LeeRoy at PJ O'Briens.  Had a good laugh and a few beers with the boys, and it was with a tear we said goodbye until we would meet up again on a warm sunny night in Bournemouth later this year for a few more beers :-)...good to meet you boys...top lads!  The remainder of us headed back to the hostel for an early night, as we were off to Cape Tribulation in the morning bright and early.

Day 80 -  Got picked up by the mini-bus bright and early from Cairns and started out to Cape Tribulation rainforest.  Our first stop onroute was the Daintree River.  At this point the weather was fair and wasn't raining - this wouldn't last!!  We got onto the tour boat and headed up to the Daintree.  We encountered two large crocs and a baby, also stopping off to see a crocs little den! Got back on the bus just in time for the heavens to open!  We stopped off for a nice walk through a 'rain' forest - ha! Then headed onto our accomadation.
