Well . . . after eight long months, sometimes exciting and sometimes very frustrating, the time has come to close this travel blog.
I must say a very big thank you to Simon, Claudia and Bianca back in Peru, for taking me into their hearts and home over the last two months. Thanks to them, I had a wonderful extended-family Christmas and New Year in the Sacred Valley - my first outside of Australia.
Simon and Claudia have played a major role through all three of my visits to Peru, as "gerentes" (managers) of their Peruvian-based tour company Kutimuinki. There are no better people to do business with if you want to visit Peru in comfort, style and affordability. Check out their website www.kutimunki.com and then go and see them. You will be so glad you did! In her spare moments, Claudia also doubled as my Spanish teacher, and she can do the same for you whether you are in Peru or not. Contact her on claudia@kutimunki.com for more information.
I also want to say thank you to Clare for the good times we did have travelling together in June 2008.
So all that is left is to post my last set of photos, all from Peru. I have tried to include shots of me with the new friends I made in Urubamba, and I extend to them my hope that our friendships will now be able continue through the wonders of cyberspace communications.
Adios amigos, y muchas gracias por su amistad.
