Finally managed to leave Chalee Villa!  Took a boat over to Koh Phangan and after a little cruise around the island dropping people off we arrived at Dreamland Resort.  The boat dropped us off about 20m from the shore and we had to wade through the water trying not to get our rucksacks wet.  Another interesting arrival.

It is only a pound more expensive than Chalee Villa but a completely different standard of accommodation.  We got a much bigger bungalow with a soft comfortable bed, a huge bathroom and veranda.  We're just a few steps away from the beach and from the veranda we have views of gorgeous palm trees and the silky soft white sand beach leading down to sparkling greeny-blue water.  There are also lots of big, shady trees around and it all seems to be designed with comfort in mind.

Well as it was all so fabulous we decided to extend our stay right away and booked a few extra nights.  Alas we may have been a tad hasty.  After one wonderful day of swimming in the sea we had a rather strange experience.  First Tony stood on a crab and got his toe nipped and then we started to get stung by little invisible electrocuting sea devils.  We have no idea what it was (we couldn't see anything in the water) but it felt like little electric shocks and no matter how many times we braved the waters they continued.  Bizarrely this affliction did not seem to affect anyone else and we looked around in amazement at everyone else swimming and merrily playing games in the water whilst we were unrelentingly attacked.

The double bay was incredibly beautiful and we had excellent bbqs on the beach (we tried and loved the shark), walked on the beach, relaxed and read loads more books but as most activities are water based there wasn't much reason to hang around so we decided to cancel the extra days and move on to our last island.  Fingers crossed!
