We arrive in Ayr, early afternoon. And check out the motels. Fully booked. Now internet.

Till we arrive at the Shamrock Motel. Those people should get there sh.. together: no website, no mentioning of free wireless. 80$/night including wireless. Decent motel room: coffee maker, fridge.

The owners are not as you might think Irish but Israelian. Nice people. We check in for 2 nights. Dr T calls the diving company: they do not dive tomorrow: the weather is too bad. You could have fooled me. Maybe the day after. Call back tomorrow. So, we extent one more night in the hotel. It was a good choice. The only pity was that we did not get ANY room service the whole stay: which means: buying toilet paper, washing towels, the things they have to do when you only stay one night.

We have dinner in another local pub.

Next day: explore the town some more and hopefully: book the Yongala dive!

And we did! We spent a pleasant day at the pool and in town and drove to the dive shop at 16h. yes, they are going tomorrow and yes they are place left!!!

We sign up, pick our gear and we have to be here at 8h tomorrow morning. Here is 20 minutes driving from Ayr:

The closest diving shop to the Yongala. Which is: the nr 1 on our top 100 list. We just do not believe it. But we have to try. You cannot penetrate the wreck, it is f..... cold in the water (21 degrees) and the visibility is bad. How can that be better than, let's say Chuuk?

Early night for the big adventure. We had no idea ... .
