It is POURING. But hubby is on a mission: we SHALL take the bus (also owned by Air Asia). And it turns out to be fine. Saved 15 Euro. Comfortable bus and taxi from station. We arrive at out hotel. Definitely the weirdest we ever stayed. The room is a card board box, without windows, about 2,5m x 2,5m x 2,5m. Attached a tiny toilet/bathroom separated from the bedroom by a glass door.
We take a taxi to the HRC, where we have a couple of beers. Dr T eats ribs but they are beef ribs.
Back home, we start up our computer in the Chinese restaurant downstairs of our hotel and the internet does work. We go to our petite bedroom early.
09/04: Our plan for the day: visit the Menara Tower and the rain forest around it. The tower is the 5th largest communication tower in the world. We saw the largest in Toronto, right girls?
First breakkie (yes, I admit) art McDo. Taxi to Menara. Elevator brings you to the top in seconds. Views on KL. And the HRC is right next to the rain forest! And I feel like ice cream ... . We walk to the HRC through the rainforest. They say it is the only rainforest in the middle of a big city. We say they should keep they should take much better care of their walk ways and steps. Money and effort is needed here!
Hubby does find the HRC and the ice cream is delicious.
We pick up our laptops and go to a Reggae bar, around the corner of our hotel, where there is music and wireless. Dinner at the place we were last time we stayed at KL. Back in the hotel: wireless does not work. What else is new? We return to the Reggae bar but they have no power point and our laptops are out of juice. I give up. Back in or tiny room, I read for another half an hour will Dr T plays his computer game.
Tomorrow: we go to Australia!!!
