Sleeping in and cold MUCH better. It is noon when we leave our hotel and we walk back to the centre of the city. I find a bar with SANDWICHES. Can I please have a sandwich? I love fried rice, tom yam soup, Chinese, Malay and Thai food but I long for a plain sandwich after a week or 2. With a Tiger beer, of course.
We finally realize that Jalan Sehala means one way street. Tony knows that Jalan means way or road and I thought Jalan Sehala was a big street, we saw signs to it everywhere!
We admire the cruise ships in the Andaman sea. Fort Cronwallis is one of the things to do. It is a museum, telling the history of Penang. But, we are not in a cultural mood and think it will be an overlap with the museum in KL, so we skip it. Taking the long way home, we pass through China Town, with its Buddha temples, Chinese style. Followed by Little India, with the mosques and the Sikhs. They all seem to live happily next to each other. We top our drinks and go home packing and a last chat to you. We do not know for sure when we will be back on internet. Tomorrow night is booked by Akiko, the girlfriend of Greg, in a fancy land house and the day after, we are booked in a backpackers hotel in KL, to leave the next day to Borneo. We do not have a confirmation for the backpacker in Borneo nor for the hotel which we tried to book on an island in Borneo. It is getting more adventurous.
Our wireless goes up and down till there is no more up. We walk to a hawkers place which e found this afternoon. It has about 20 restaurants. Difficult to choose! I go for Bombay friend rice, Dr T has squid and chicken fried rice. It is a bit too hot for him!
Afterwards, we go home and go to bed early. Alarm clock at 6h30 and even a wake up call. Do not know when we will meet again.
