Where I stayed
The Bunkers Inn

Today, we drive to East London, still on the South African east coast, almost completely in the south. A couple more of the little huts.

Dr T's priority: internet. We have been out of it for more than a week now and he needs a day on internet. I find one in our 'eyewitness guide book' with wireless in every room:

I call and book.

An old man is our host: John. Wireless: he has no idea. Password for the wireless: what is that? BUT: hubby can use his office. He also books us a restaurant for tonight. And a good one it is. Everything. The ambience, the waitress, the food (quality and quantity) and the games of course. We eat the local game for the first time. Or two of us do: kudu and wildebeest. Delicious. Look at my kudu: it is huge and was marinated at the table, with cream, cognac and vegetables. And almond potatoes.

Next day: the girls go into town, while the boy internets. Before going to the beach, we drop by at the guesthouse where hubby needs some assistance on the financial internet stuff, so the 2 girls go to the beach, where Broekske puts het butt up and finds nice shells.

Afterwards, they pick us up to go to the harbor, again an advice of John. We find a nice terrace and get too much seafood.

John books us another restaurant for the evening. The food is not bad but, again, we have to wait for 2 hours for simple meals.

Next day, we check out, after a nice breakfast. John, who does not know about wireless or passwords, suddenly DOES know that Dr T took up 70 percent of his whole monthly bandwidth and wants money.

The Bunkers Inn was a nice experience but it makes me conclude anyway:  NOTHING is for free in this world.
