Good flight with BA after abandoning our car at Purple Car parks, near Heathrow. We were met at JFK with a happy smiling face on Alinda Iveson, which was a great moral booster. Mike had the RV near the arrivals and off we went.
On arriving at the RV Park we found that the supply cable had been removed to the cabin, so after a lot of time wasted we got some sleep. We awoke to beautiful sunshine and then the smell of bacon, plus a large discount for the inconvenience the previous evening.
I drove to New York and was thrown a steep learning curve, as I caught the large wing mirror on another vehicle. (No damage thankfully).
After driving for 5 hours I had to hand the vehicle over to Mike due to cramp. It took so long, because New York is a nightmare to drive an RV through, due to height restrictions.
After finally arriving at Floyd Bennett Airfield (National Park) Mike and Alinda decided to take a taxi to La Guardia Airfield for their flight. Leaving us to get a good nights sleep.
Our site is on a concrete pan next to an aviation museum (I feel really at home). I think the whole of New York occupants use this park as everything is available, fishing, boating, camp sites, model aircraft flying etc etc.
Bought a 30 dollar pass each lasting seven days which gives us unlimited access to busses and trains. We have used this continually to visit: Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, Central Station, Flat Iron Building and Times Square.
Yesterday Monday 9th Sept I visited the the Aircraft Carrier Intrepid, which is a floating museum.
We will leave here on Saturday 14th and head towards Washington, but still some of my bucket list to complete.

Just shown Chrissy the blog - she is well impressed. Her sister's wedding went off extremely well and was really absolutely perfect. The weather was superb in fact a great day all round.

It really cold here today - its raining, the wind is blowing and the forecast for the weekend is dismal. Jo and Clive are going off in the mv for The Gower today - 70 mile an hour winds are forecast. Personally I think I should stay at home.

Chrissy and I have been debating as to whether to get a 'blog' of our own, but have decided that we would have little to records other than the weather and what I am going to cook for supper.

Now you my dear friends are experiencing all these new adventures and memories to last a lifetime. The blog you are sending is like a colourful picture book that we can all share and travel with you on this exciting adventure.

By the way Chrissy says if you do bump into George Clooney please give him my telephone number. If I dont hear from him shall assume you have not met up. Love from Chrissy and Pauline xx

Hello travellers, Still visiting the TC/JC Blog for the next instalment, but no joy. Chrissy came on ~Friday and related all her news about the wedding. She does look good at the moment she has lost a lot of weight. Audrey has moved into her new home today - I went along to help unpack!!! It really is a delightful home -= small but just right for her. We have my sister's son and wife coming this weekend, which should be interesting. They dont want to stay with either us of Joanne and will be doing B & B. Each to their own!!

I do hope you are having a marvellous time - what is the White House like? Don has investigated your blog today Tony and he is most impressed he says he find it extremenly interesting. He is also checking your blog each day waiting for the next instalment. I do hope that the traffic has thinned out a bit and that the people are far more affable. Well the temperatures have dropped here, the central heating comes on in the morning. Take great care and look forward to hearing from you. Pauline with love xx
