Up and off in luxury taxi to Bangkok airport with driver and shotgun rider to sort our bags.

Arrived in lots of time to book in. Hels noticed when we were given our tickets that on the first plane ride to Bahrain they had sat us apart. Hels told the girl a long story about never spending more than three hours apart in six months and that Gulf Air WOULD NOT seperate us!! They said it was no problem so reallocated our seats.
We were impressed by the crew and hostesses on this Gulf Air flight and spent alot of time chatting to one of the hostesses about our travels and about her plans to quit her job in a few years and travel herself. Flight took 7 hours and arrived on time. We had a 90 minute stop over to change planes......fairly easy as the plane was almost next to the one we had just landed in!

Our second 7 hour flight to Heathrow, London was a few minutes late setting off and we found ourselves sitting almost in the back row of seats in the tail section. Hels immediately into conversation with a man who turned out to be a Consultant Psychiatrist on a lecture tour with two nurses. They were sitting in economy despite the fact that they had 1st class e ticket. They had been told when booking in that all first class was booked ( or overbooked ), that there was only one seat in Business Class so the only way they could get to heathrow was in Economy. It later transpired that 11 of the 16 First Class people had failed to show and there were 11 empty seats available BUT the chief hostess said she did not have the authority to move these three forward and they would have to stay where they were but they would get a glass of champagne, a Face towel refresher pack and the first class menu for their meals....... needless to say we were all treated to some amazing discussions between the parties concerned and the flight seemed to be over before we could grab an hours nap.

I did point out to him that if he had sat in First Class he would not have had 5 hours of free Therapy from Hels!!

We landed on time, got our bags with no problems and with our backpacks on we strode through Customs and there he was.......our boy Craig. Not sure if he more pleased to see us or we were more pleased to see him. Huge hugs and kisses all round and then off to his house in Perrivale, London for the night and home tomorrow.
