FAMILY MATTERS

Helen and Tony wish Helens dad Geoff a very happy Fathers Day, and of course remember Tony's dad.

OUR BLOG

Today we got up and had a fantastic breakfast, with everything on offer. Early this morning Hels received a text from Greg and Lisa, our friends from Gili Trawangan, to say that they were coming to Legian and wanted to meet up. We invited them to come to our hotel and were really looking forward to seeing them again.

We nabbed some sun beds despite there being an outbreak of "German bag a bed with your towel as early as you can-itis" At about 12.30 Greg and Lisa arrived. We chatted over drinks and a pizza, and also had a swim in the sea where the waves were big enough for the serious surfers. It was really nice of them to come to see us and we discovered that they were not really coming to Legian but came specifically to meet up. We again confirmed the need to meet up in Amsterdam….cannot wait.

Lisa and Greg left about 3pm and we walked with them to get a taxi. Lovely couple.

We had another hour in the pool and in the sun, and then went to get some free juices in the Club Lounge, followed by free cocktails. We went down to the pool bar to lie on the permanent sun beds, under the decorative lanterns and enjoyed a snack and a beer.

Back to our room and Hels out to bathe in the garden and poor Tony trying to catch up on the Blog. Now is that fair?

Late in the evening we got a text from Greg. During the afternoon we had mentioned how The French had put an “s” on the end of Lao, a country in Asia. Greg texted…..”Dear Falcos, we are adding an s like all the French do”…keen sense of humour.
