OUR BLOG
Today is our last day at Sekar Nusa Villas. We spent it organising the rest of our Bali stay. We had to get Hotel vouchers printed off and ferry paperwork organised before getting into the pool. As it is very hot, despite this morning's storm, we wanted to swim as soon as possible.
Our day went very quickly as we packed late afternoon. There were four new arrivals today but in the evening these four and two others all had room delivery for their meals. We ate alone at the restaurant and were greeted by the waiter, waitress and chef when we finished our meal. They had worked out it was our last meal and were possibly hoping for a tip. They were unlucky.
It is very difficult to decide who you tip. There are so many staff and to give money to one or two seems unfair. The Balinese government also adds 11% to your bill and each hotel or restaurant adds 10% service charge which should go to the staff. One has to hope it happens. Our meal however was very nice, and they rushed our bill through so we could book out tonight rather than the morning at 6.30am.
Not a very exciting day but Tony managed to read 300 pages of a 340 page novel, so not all bad.
