Where I stayed
We left Wytheville around 8:15 - to make sure we made it to Marietta in time for lunch. And yes, even though we stopped in Tarmac, we made it to the Harmar in time for Larry and Kevin to have bologna ruben sandwiches. They said the sandwiches were the best they had ever had.
For those who haven't been to Tarmac, you definitely need to go. It's off the W. Va turnpike. It showcases W. Va artisans. FANTASTIC!
The sun finally appeared, highlighting the trees with leaves changing colors. It was an uneventful ride. The temperature was cool enough to warrant long sleeve t-shirts and jackets. Looks like fall has arrived.
Last night, I was finally able to download the videos of us riding the Tail of the Dragon. If you are interested, go to the entry titled We slayed and go to the videos. #6 is about 17 minutes and #7 about 6. You need to give the videos time to buffer - it takes time to do so. Afterwards, you will be able to "ride with us" and enjoy all the twists and turns.
This is the last blog for this trip. Tomorrow we arrive back home. Hope you've all enjoyed coming along. Till the next trip.....
