Hey,
So today was a relatively easy day. I have a sore throat so i am heavily into the cold and flu tablets so i dont get sick. It feels like it is improving in the space of 1 day so hopefully it goes quickly. We spent the morning at the Mykonos hotel before our ferry ride at 3pm. Everyone was dreading the ferry after the last one, so no one ate lunch just in case.
The water was much more calmer today which was a good sign. We had 2.5 hours to spend on this ferry so we were hoping it would be a nice ride for once. Luckily, it was a nice ferry. It wasn't a bumpy ride and we got there without anyone being sick. I was only suffering from my sore throat, as my boat sick tablet seemed to work again. This time aswell, ALL the people on the tour took a boat sick tablet just to be on the safe side after the onslaught we had faced 3 days ago.
We got into Santorini at 6pm, but it doesnt get dark until 8.15pm so we had some time to relax in the hotel after the bus picked us up from the port. We are staying at a lovely hotel, a Best Western can you believe it?? (As we are staying Best Western every time we are traveling on our own). So it is a really nice hotel, the pool is really nice and is just outside our room.
We havent seen much of Santorini yet, though tomorrow is a full on day with so much happening, it will be really good to experience it all. We get to go to a Volcano (as Santorini was made from a volcanic eruption from many years ago so it is just all rock with houses and buildings on the top of the cliffs), aswell as doing a boat ride and swimming in warm springs with mud (that apparently cleanses the skin) and then to top it off we get a donkey ride up 536 steps!!! Then at 7.30pm we get to go to Oia and watch the famed sunset, which is supposed to be one of the best sunsets in the world. So tomorrow is going to be a huge day, but as Santorini was our number 1 Greek Island to visit, we really want to use tomorrow the best way we can. Its 55 euro for the whole day and night so it is well worth the money.
Well, thats all for now. I am going to relax and rest so my sore throat doesnt turn into a cold.
Love to you all, i will blog about everything tomorrow!!
