An early night in Louisville, on the Thursday meant we were all set for the Kentucky Derby weekend. With tickets for the 'Oaks' on Friday slightly cheaper, we opted for this day which was traditionally more for the locals. We headed to a charity shop to get our suits, and coincidently all came out wearing blue and ready to rock.

The infield didn't give much of a view of the track, but there was a party atmosphere inside with big hats and Kentucky Borbon stalls everywhere. The only problem was this was slightly out of our price range, so deciding to save ourselves for the night we decided to try our hand on the horses. Our knowledge was limited, and even after trying to befriend some keen horse betters (don't know if there is a word for them) we still left without a win. Although dignity still in tact and as you can see, still looking pretty fly. The 'crach' of Louiville headed out in the night, and an all honesty it was lucky we dressed so well. Sadly we didn't see any famous people, local hero Mohammad Ali is rumored to frequently attend the event.

After a night in Louisville, our host Kyle took us for the ultimate Kentucky hangover cure. Kentucky style chicken. Told that I had to scoff at that "KFC garbage" (sellouts..), we were taken for the real stuff from the heart of Louisville. We ordered a 30 pieces with wedges (of course covered in the batter) and there was plenty left for the next day.

Even the tramps in this neighborhood came with extra flavour, after Rob declined to give one change he received a charming response that included something along the lines of "you racist c**ksuc**r". At least the chicken was good.
