Getting the trip back on schedule, we headed down to Myrlte Beach with a carful of camping gear. Our pitch was in a wooded area with plenty of wildlife, most notably mosquitoes, lizards and copperhead snakes. Fortunately, appart from the mozzy bites we weren't bothered too much by them, although there was a big crowd drawn when the ranger captured two of the poisonous snakes.
In order to stay in shape for the beach, me and Luke invested in a 'shake a weight' and did an early morning work out before more beaching. We BBQ'd in the evening, roasted some marshmallows and told ghost stories.
Myrtle Beach is your typical beach resort, piers, bars and tacky gift shops. After some solid tanning we decided to move to the next town.
