Another early start in order to catch the first of three trains today at 06:35. We traveled from Niagara Falls to Toronto; changed trains to go to Montreal then changed trains for Quebec City where we arrived after 18:00. Snow lightly covered the ground as we travelled through the countryside, becoming thicker the further we travelled. Both Montreal and Quebec City have recently had lots of snow. Upon settling into our comfortable hotel, the Chateau Frontenac in the Old Quebec City, we gingerly walked on the snow (and some ice) covered sidewalks/footpaths to a nearby restaurant for dinner. We both loved the romantic 'real winter' feeling of the city. It is so different from any Australian city.
