Today was Tom's very important birthday. This morning we had breakfast at Bagel City.  We squeezed into one car but initially meant to take two cars - hence Emily needed to clear the frost off her car which had been parked outside overnight.   This breakfast is a "girls" tradition where Betty takes her grand daughters for bagels. The place is renowned for its bagels and is always very popular.  Linda was invited this time and Tom was deemed an honourary girl. We ordered the same as the girls - egg and cheese on cinnamon, raisin bagel and hot chocolate, followed by a cake filled with almond paste.  An interesting, quite pleasant combination but extremely filling.  So much so that we did not eat again until dinner.  After our breakfast we again headed into town, this time to the Air and Space Museum where we spent a few hours until we decided there were too many people, children and pushers/ strollers to be able to concentrate on the exhibits.  As well as obvious exhibits relating to planes and space craft there is an interesting exhibit about the Wright Brothers which complemented the one we saw on Roanoke Island, NC.

We almost enjoyed walking in the beautiful sunshine when the temperature was about 36 deg.  We wore our gloves but did not add our beanies - we are saving them for when it is really cold.

We came home by about 16:30 - early for us and rested until dinner.  Linda and Bob had cooked a marvellous piece of salmon for dinner and Hamish and Heather had arranged for the delivery of a bottle of French champagne which everyone tasted but we drank most of it.  Then Linda brought in a birthday cake which everyone enjoyed - and there was very little left over.
