Today is Thanksgiving Day.  Linda and her mother Betty have spent the past two days baking desserts and cakes to take to the family Thanksgiving dinner at Linda's cousin's home in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  It was our first Thanksgiving dinner and the day was great fun.

All told 16 sat down to dinner around a large square table.  Two matriarchs: Linda's mother and her sister in law who is the mother of the hostess.  Our hosts and their three children; plus our hostess' brother from New York and his wife and daughter.  There were the 5 of us, including Betty, and Linda and Bob's daughters, Emily and Sarah, travelled independently as they live in Philadelphia and New York City.

We had roast turkey with two types of stuffing, white gravy, a ginormous salad, most of which was eaten, roast sweet potato and brussel sprouts plus other dishes.  Then, even though we didn't really need any more food, we all ate plenty of Linda's great pumpkin pie and chocolate zucchini cake with our coffee.  There was lots of talking across the table, sometimes even over each other, as we exchanged stories and experiences.  We were very tired when we arrived back after the two hour drive.  Linda especially as she had driven both ways - four hours of driving.  Emily and Sarah came home for the weekend.
