The time had come for us to move on.  We packed.  This does not take us long as we do it so often.  We have packed our heavy clothes in one suitcase which we leave in the boot/trunk of the car so only take with us the other suitcase, the computer, the carry bag with miscellaneous items including water and sometimes snacks for the day's drive, Tom's camera and Ruth's purse!

Patty and Pete's realtor rang to arrange the first showing of their home that afternoon so we left the cleaning, tidying, etc. to them and drove north to Sarasota which is also on the coast.  I had in mind a quiet little B&B but Pete suggested we stay at the Ritz-Carlton which Tom thought was a great idea - so of course Ruth did as Tom wanted.  We had a room on the second/first floor overlooking the pool area.  We settled in then took the hotel shuttle bus across to St. Armards Circle, an exclusive area planned by John Ringling in the 1930s.  It didn't eventuate in his lifetime but now there are mansions and a great little shopping area.  We mainly window shopped but Ruth did find a pair of jeans that pleased both Tom and Ruth.  We walked the nearly 4 km back to the hotel then took a shorter walk to Main Street for dinner before another early night.
