Where I stayed
Thank goodness it was a warm sunny day so we enjoyed exploring Ennis, which is a lovely little market town. We visited their museum which was surprisingly interesting. There we ran into some O'Deas from Adelaide whom we have met before both in Ennis and Adelaide. One of them, Sue, is a past chieftain of the Clan.
In the afternoon we continued our Committee meeting as we had not covered all the 10 agenda items in the first meeting. Then we helped prepare for registration before going to the Ennis Civic office for a welcoming reception by the Ennis town council.
The evening concluded with a fascinating talk by Risteard Úa Cróinín (Dick Cronin in English) on the O’Dea Clan history and early Irish history.
