The London Metropolitan Archives open some Saturdays and this was one of them so we went back there after visiting the gym again. Tom found a lot of Stedman will extracts and Ruth thinks she has found where she needs to look to maybe find births, deaths and marriages of one line of her ancestors – see it takes a lot of time!

After the archives closed we went into Piccadilly to the Royal Over-Seas League where we had dinner with Penny, our friend who stayed with us in Melbourne for a while. It was great to catch up with her. She is currently staying in London with her son who is working here.
