So we come to the end of our Australian odyssey, our own version of a walkabout. Except we drove or flew places but you know what we mean.

We spent the last few days back at Sonia's house in Kellyville where we enjoyed some Aussie barbie's courtesy of Glenn and also of Geoff (Sonia's dad). We visited Hillsong church a few times and enjoyed that experience. We were able to spend time hanging out with Felicity, Jo and Kellesi who are Sonia's housemates.

It was Sarah's birthday the day before we flew out and it was really good fun to spend our last day in Sydney city and then go out to dinner with Sonia, Glenn, Kellesi and Jo. It was nice for Sarah to have friends around even though we were far from home.

We really had a great time here and it was amazing how quickly 2 months went by, and yet we did a lot here and saw a lot of the country. We visited six of the eight states and territories, missing out Western Australia and Tasmania. You just can't do it all.

Best place we went? Hard to say, as there are a lot of choices from all that we saw. Best thing we did? Again, hard to say! But some highlights from each state would be as follows;

New South Wales - climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge with Tracey, watching an Aussie Rules game with Glenn and Sonia, and cruising along the Grand Pacific Drive in the sunshine

Australian Capital Territory - touring Parliament and the Australian War Memorial

Victoria - Enjoying great coffee and pancakes for breakfast in Melbourne's Victoria Markets, and driving the Great Ocean Road and seeing wild Koalas in the bush

Northern Territory - seeing Uluru at sunset and kangaroos in the outback,

Queensland - SCUBA diving on the Great Barrier Reef, sailing the Whitsundays and seeing this amazing coastline from our campervan while 'free camping' along the way

South Australia - The winelands of Barossa Valley and our wedding anniversary in a plush 5 star hotel!

So, g'day catch you later mate.

Missing you already!
Hi Tom and Sar,

Your last Aussie entry 'When will I see you again?' brought a tear to my eye!! It was great having you to stay and it was like no time had passed at all since we'd last seen each other! It's strange to think that I don't know when I will see you next.
:-(
I hope the rest of your travels are filled with fun and adventures and look forward to hearing more of what you've been up to. Thanks for being so easy going with all the craziness of life at Sonia's house! (P.S. The puppies still smell!)
Love
Son
