We said farewell to our new friends and to Mancora and boarded the bus for the 17hour trip back to Lima. We had learnt our lessons on booking dodgy buses and got on one with the big reclining seats and hot food. Due to a large farewell night, I didn't get much sleep (I was playing guitar with Glenn and 3 locals who didn't speak any English at 8:30am that morning) so I managed to sleep comfortably most of the way.
We arrived back in Lima the next morning and made our way to the meeting hotel for the first day of our 2 week tour which would take us to Puno, Lae Titicaca, Cusco, the Inca trail, Machu Pichu and the Amazon rainforest. That night which met and had a couple of drinks with Kerry and Adam - 2 Aussie country blokes who had been travelling in the states and who we thought seemed like a lot of fun. We thought right. We got to bed fairly early so we could get ourselves organised tomorrow (No laundry for a week leaves things fairly smelly).
